St. Louis printing company GFI Digital bought Quality Copiers Inc. of Perryville, Mo., on Monday for an undisclosed amount.
With this acquisition, GFI said it increased its footprint throughout Perryville, Cape Girardeau, Sikeston and Poplar Bluff, and added 12 employees to its team of 155 people.
GFI’s revenue has grown from $1.5 million in its first year of business a decade ago to $45 million last year. This year alone, sales grew 18 percent and profit increased 16 percent over last year.
GFI, led by President Bruce Gibbs, said it recently added nine new employees to keep its ratio of service representatives to customers in line with its customer service benchmarks. The company filled four new customer service positions at its customer service center, bringing the company's total number of customer service representatives to 36.
Founded in 1999, GFI now has Missouri offices in St. Louis, Kansas City, Jefferson City, Columbia and Crystal City, as well an office in Mount Vernon, Ill.
Gibbs and Mark Kehoe, two former employees of $4 billion imaging technology firm IKON Office Solutions, founded GFI.
