George Carlin's Solution to Save Gasoline

I really think this has merit. We should at least try it for five years.

Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants. That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down.

Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When an illegal immigrant crosses the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq. Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he
defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot.

This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without
the canteen, rifle or ammo - Problem solved.

below is his comment to the above, sounds like a good idea to me.

I would use a portion of the money now sent, in the form of "Foreign Aid," to the rich oligarchy of Mexico, as a bounty payment on illegals, who should not be here and should not be burning gasoline and driving the price of gasoline up while clogging up our highways. I would train certified bounty hunters (out of work U.S. citizens, put out of work by illegals). Each illegal alien apprehended and deported will allow the U.S. government to pay a fair amount; say $200 to that bounty hunter. That $200 would not cost the U.S. tax payer a penny, because it would be deducted from "Foreign Aid" that would have been sent to the Mexican ruling class (oligarchy). I would also lobby that another $200 for each illegal apprehended be applied toward the building of the border fence. I would also lobby for a 30 day jail sentence for each illegal caught in the U.S. Such 30 day sentence would be one of hard labor, used to build the much needed border fence.

Problem solved without the U.N. U.S. would remain sovereign and stronger than ever.
