The service guys in our company just asked me if i could find out if there is anyone that has some information about getting the punch dyes on a gbc 3 hole punch sharpened or if there are any aftermarket places out there? Apparently you can only buy the entire unit from Ricoh and is the neighborhood of 700 dollars.

You have to buy the dyes....they are comsumables.

I do not know of any, however as these units get more common I would tend to think that someone will figure it out!

You can't sharpen the dies for sure. For a start you cannot dissemble the die sets. Anybody who has a go at taking one apart will not get it back together again.

I've been to the factory and seen them being made.
