- the pandemic and stay-at-home orders are: accelerating remote working; increased use of employee data; greater role of the employer as a social safety net; and wider use of contingent workers
- forecasts that 48% of employees will be working remotely at home at least some of the time – up from 30% pre-pandemic.
- currently, already 16% of employers report passive employee data collection, including monitoring:
o Employees’ virtual logging/checking in and logging out
o Computer and phone use.
o Location or movement.
