Gartner names Ricoh as leader in both "MFPs and Printers" and "MPS" Magic Quadrants
Nov 28, 2011 Gartner's Magic Quadrant is widely known as a key starting point to identify and evaluate the right provider for an organisation’s printing needs. In the most recent release of these reports, Ricoh has been named in the ‘Leaders’ quadrant for both multifunction devices (MFPs) and printers and managed print services (MPS).
Criteria for being included in the ‘Leaders’ quadrant for MFPs and printers stated that the provider would have “complete hardware, software and service offerings and geographic reach.”
“At Ricoh we have an extensive offering of products across hardware, software and services that are sold through our national network of sales,” said David Hampe, Manager of Product Strategy for Ricoh Australia. “Whether our customers are multinational companies, small family-owned businesses or medium-sized enterprises, we have the products and the reach to service them all.”
As more organisations realise the potential savings in outsourcing their print services to MPS providers, the industry is showing signs of rapid growth. As the demand increases, so does the need for providers who are dedicated to expanding their offering and delivering individually customised solutions.
“Some customers come to MPS with not only requirements, but a detailed concept of how they will be met. Ricoh is more accommodating than most and has been able to win MPS deals that require it to work closely with the customer to understand its needs.” stated Gartner’s analysts Ken Weilerstein, Cecile Drew and Yulan Li, in their report ‘Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services, Worldwide’.
“Ricoh has invested heavily in our Managed Document Services methodology over the past three years and being named as ‘Leaders’ in the industry leading Magic Quadrant MPS 2011 report by Gartner is evidence that our hard work is paying off – not only for us but also for our clients,” said Stuart Hammond, National Sales Manager – MDS for Ricoh Australia.
