Fujifilm’s Acuity & Inca Presses Receive Certification from

Color-Logic for Metallic Printing

December 1, 2020, Hanover Park, Ill. – FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division, announced today that its complete line of Acuity and Inca wide-format printers have been certified by Color-Logic, based in West Chester, Ohio, for metallic printing. With this certification, Acuity and Inca press owners using the Color-Logic system can create eye-catching metallic effects that can be incorporated into packaging, signage, displays, and collateral material.

“Our certification from Color-Logic opens up an entire new market for Fujifilm press owners,” said Becky McConnell, segment marketing manager – wide format inkjet, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division. “Fujifilm press owners can now offer their customers unique metallic printing for high-end packaging and prototyping applications. In addition, Color-Logic on Acuity and Inca presses offers great opportunities in creating intricate designs for signage and point-of-purchase applications.”

The certified Fujifilm printers include the Acuity LED 1600, Acuity Select HS and Acuity LED flatbed printers, Acuity Ultra superwide roll-to-roll printer, as well as the OnsetX3 HS from Inca Digital, sold exclusively in North America by FUJIFILM North America Corporation.

“At Color-Logic, we are pleased that Fujifilm chose to certify their complete wide format printer solutions product lines,” said Richard Ainge, chief technical officer, Color-Logic. “Now Fujifilm Acuity and Inca press owners around the world can confidently and consistently offer their customers superb metallic printing over a broad range of applications.”

Color-Logic certifies printers for its system by taking color measurements across the print run to check for consistency, and to ensure printing has the maximum output based on press, ink and substrates.

“Wide format print providers looking for new streams of revenue can use this combination of printer and software to create high-value applications for existing and potential clients,” added McConnell. “For example, a print provider using the OnsetX Series printer and Color-Logic software can create the metallic special effects on packaging or displays desired by retailers and brands to grab consumer attention at the point of purchase.”
