Fujifilm gives more details on new Print Production System

  • Planning to launch the world’s first toner-based production color system that handles up to B2 sheet sizes
  • Gave sneak peek last week at its facility in Ratingen, Germany of the upcoming Revoria GC12500 system
    • (unknown if Xerox will relabel)
    • Admitted to having beta unit running at a print shop in Italy
    • 64gsm – 450gsm media handling
    • Up to 29.5” x 26” sheet size
    • 1200x1200dpi actual, advertised as 2400dpi x 2400dpi
    • 10 bit color depth
    • Uses a unique magnetic force pattern and overcomes toner transfer unevenness due to large area printing
    • 4 tandem OPC drum design
    • Claims will use the industry’s smallest toner particles
    • Adaptive Registration Adjustment System measures paper shrinkage one-by-one and adjust front-to-back registration in real time
      • Includes sensor to measure paper shrinkage caused by heat created by fusing section
