BURLINGTON, Mass.--()--Arbor Networks Inc., the security division of NETSCOUT (NASDAQ: NTCT), announced today that global industry analyst firm Frost & Sullivan has honored the company with the 2017 DDoS Mitigation Products Market Leadership Award. Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has developed an innovative product element by leveraging leading-edge technologies. The award recognizes the value-added features/benefits of the product and the increased return on investment (ROI) it offers customers, which in turn raises customer acquisition and overall market penetration potential.

Frost & Sullivan drafted a white paper that examines the distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) threat landscape, and explains Arbor’s selection as the 2017 DDoS Mitigation Products Market Leader.

“Whether you are a small or medium enterprise (SME) or a Fortune 500 organization, availability is foundational to everything you do. Arbor Networks recognizes this, and has been focused on delivering high value and return on investment for its customers. It has virtualized its entire DDoS portfolio to support customer SDN and NFV environments, introduced low-cost appliances and new virtual solutions that start at sub-100Mb capacity. It has also updated its pricing models and introduced fully managed services. As a result, Arbor’s portfolio meets the diverse needs of organizations ranging from the SMEs to the largest service providers,” said Frost & Sullivan Senior Industry Analyst, Chris Rodriguez.

“Arbor has led the DDoS market for more than a decade because we listen to our customers’ needs and requirements, and use ATLAS to understand changes in the threat space. Over the past two years we’ve seen a steep change in the scale, complexity, and frequency of DDoS attacks and we’ve seen a much broader range of enterprises become dependent on the connected world. To address these changes, we’ve focused on building automation into our products wherever possible. We’re looking to integrate with Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) and Internet Service Provider (ISP) service delivery platforms. And, we’ve widened our physical and virtual product portfolio to give service providers the ability to mitigate the massive attacks we’ve seen from weaponized IoT botnets, and the SME solutions to cost-effectively manage their risk. The threats never stand still, and neither do we,” said Arbor Networks Chief Technology Officer, Darren Anstee.
