OSAKA -- Sharp named new executives Tuesday, reflecting the wishes of Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry, also known as Foxconn, which will become the new owner of the troubled Japanese electronics maker.
Katsuaki Nomura, chairman of Sharp's large-panel manufacturing affiliate Sakai Display Products, will serve double duty as a Sharp executive vice president. The affiliate's president, Taimi Oketani, will become a Sharp executive managing officer. Both will begin their new roles Wednesday. Sakai Display Executive Vice President Satoshi Okawa will take over for Oketani.
