HCI Group Inc. recently appointed two new members to its board of directors.
The company’s eight board of directors voted April 8 to appoint Sue Watts and Loreen Spencer to its ranks, according to a recent U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission filing.
Watts has more than three decades of experience in business operations, information technology and leadership. She’s served as chief operating officer and executive vice president since 2017 for application services, infrastructure and digital services for Capgemini SE, a global technology services and digital transformation consulting firm.
From 2014 to 2017, Watts was chief operating officer and corporate officer of business process outsourcing for Xerox Corp. (NYSE: XRX). From 2010 through 2015, she served as corporate vice president of application services and CEO of Americas outsourcing for Capgemini.
Spencer, according to the SEC filing, has more than three decades of financial and accounting expertise. She served as an audit partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP for nearly 30 years until her retirement in 2016. Since 2017, Spencer has served on the board of directors and the audit and risk committee of Raymond James Bank. She is a founding board member and since 2002 has been board chair of the Gift of Adoption Florida Chapter.
The HCI Group (NYSE: HCI) is one of the largest public companies in the Tampa Bay area with $244.41 million in revenue for 2017, according to Tampa Bay Business Journal research.
