Document Accounting Solutions (DAS), the local FMAudit distributor and provider of intelligent print management and cost recovery solutions, has announced that FMAudit has made a technological breakthrough by providing remote meter readings and managed print services without the hassle of complex software installations.
FMAudit's WebAudit offers the flexibility to capture meter readings through an innovative Web application, perfect for applications where clients refuse to have software installed.
The solution offers ongoing assessment on the customer's volume, service alerts and toner levels. It also provides various reports that allow users to determine the cost of ownership and accurately estimate toner usage and cost of toner usage.
DAS managing director Russel Roth says FMAudit provides the flexibility to allow for meter readings without installing a single piece of software on the client's site. “FMAudit has a proven track record of innovation, the company has been pioneering cutting edge-cost recovery solutions that helped define the managed print services industry. Today, the company has assembled a leading portfolio of remote meter reading and managed print services tools.”
WebAudit eliminates the need for manually collecting meter read information. Instead, it automatically sends the information electronically to the dealership. More importantly, FMAudit generates snapshot audits at regular intervals, allowing it to immediately send error alerts via XML or e-mail to the dealership's service or supply department.
“While most of our clients initially look to us for remote meter reading solutions or print management assessment tools, many are pleased to learn about the unique solutions we offer to help a dealership reduce overhead, automate service and increase sales,” he explains.
FMAudit's Viewer USB not only provides a graphical analysis of a client's print environment within minutes, one can conduct audits on the fly during the sales process. By simply inserting the key into a USB port on any computer on the client's network, the application finds all of the networked printers and MFPs and stores the data on the USB key. The data can then be retrieved from another computer and imported into the central server.
Roth says the foundation of selling managed print services contracts is understanding total cost of ownership (TCO). “FMAudit makes this easy, with TCO reporting that cross-references a database of over 18 000 devices and their operation costs.”
Shipping too much toner to clients leads to bloated inventories and higher costs. When the toner cartridge is almost empty, FMAudit's Supplies Triggered Marketing sends an e-mail to the client with a link to an online toner store. Supply Triggered Delivery provides control over when toner is shipped, based on the average usage of each device. This means clients get toner just in time, lowering their inventory and boosting profits.
He says FMAudit allows clients to capture meters for non-networked devices. “With up to 40% of printers not connected to networks, the ability to capture local printer meters is critical. FMAudit allows you to collect meters from local printers, enabling you to deliver and bill for a total managed print solution. You do not have to wait for a month to get readings as many spool trackers do, we track historical as well.”
“Missed meter readings? Negative meter readings? FMAudit will eliminate these issues as well as the need to send a consultant on site or to bother the client to ask for meter readings,” he concludes.
