JEFFERSON CITY, MO - February 13, 2008 - FMAudit closes the loop on Managed Print Services with its newest Adaptive Service Management™ (ASM) solution. ASM collects machine reported consumable levels and triggers alerts based on dealer defined thresholds.
The significance of ASM is it's many unique advantages, all of which are industry milestones. As with networked devices, ASM collects consumable information from local devices, deciphering the entire supplies section. Consumable items include toner, ink, wax, gel, maintenance kits, drums, transfer belts, fuser kits, or any consumable item a device is capable of reporting. Subsequent alerts are uniquely identified and further filtered using customizable dealer defined parameters. Once an alert is triggered, one or more simultaneous or follow-up actions are performed, accommodating the most complex dealer specific workflows. For example, when the remaining level in a cyan toner cartridge falls below a dealer defined threshold, an email may be sent to the dealers' service department, informing them a replacement is required. Upon approval a second email may be sent to the dealers' supplies vendor and simultaneously a purchase order may be submitted into the dealers' ERP system. For added flexibility and to reduce the number of interactions a dealer must make to manage the system, alerts may be pooled within a given time frame and/or actions may be performed automatically with no intervention required. The dealers' service department is provided with a dashboard and robust views of the current alerts, with drill-down reporting.
"The feedback from the industry has been greater than anticipated." remarked Greg Allen, COO with FMAudit. "Dealers recognize the need to automate supplies replenishment, yet those who have attempted this with others solutions quickly found their service department buried in a sea of emails. Having worked at a major ERP solution provider for many years, we recognized that other solutions demonstrated well, but just weren't practical in the real world. ASM is the answer dealers have been searching for."
For a dealers' existing fleet, ASM provides proactive consumables replenishment, notifying the dealer prior to the supplies running out. In addition and at no extra cost, ASM monitors competitive devices for consumable supplies up-sell opportunities.
"FMAudit is the only solution that utilizes the collected data for both sales and service." stated Kevin Tetu, President and CEO with FMAudit. "With the addition of ASM, the dealer uses FMAudit throughout the entire Managed Print Services cycle, from pre-sales site assessments, to automated meters and supplies management, to post sales account reviews. We look forward to showcasing ASM this year at ITEX."
Adaptive Service Management is a new module available in FMAudit Central v2 which must be accompanied by Onsite v2 for data collection. Current FMAudit Enterprise customers may upgrade at no additional charge upon it's availability.
