Does anyone have customer feedback on the new 3310/4410 systems?

Too bad Ricoh went back to a separate photoconductor (the 1900-3900L/NF, 5510L are customer favorites): Customer's hate the $$$ bill when it's time to replace.

I can not find a stated yield for the 3310/4410 photoconductor: Anyone know?

Thanks

IF the PCU is rated for 45k, what is the equipment rated at for on a total monthly volume situation?

Also, Does anyone have these pieces placed in a higher volume situation, What have your clients feedback been, how have they performed, whay type of volume? Thanks for the feedback.

Brian
Thanks Art. Maybe you can help me you with your experience.

If you had someone who was averaging about 6k per month (incoming), but cannot go to an MFP, what direction might you go? I know there is the next unit up from the F104, but I cannot really see (By Specs) What the big differences are.

It seems as if the supply cost are similar. Specs are similar. Would you go that route with that volume? If so, what would be the main reason? Thanks Again for your help.

Brian
Put in a 2022 and let the faxes go paperless. Then it doesn't matter about the volume. They got to have a printer, copier etc. Sell the sizzle of paperless faxes and throw in the copier, printer, and scanner... I sold a booklet maker to a customer and threw in the 1060 to make it work. Sometimes you have to sell backwards. Sell the feature and attach a machine to make the features work.
They have a national contract with XEROX. I am working with the IT Manager, we had put together a whole solution that included about 50 pieces, including MFP's serving as fax units, seperate netowrk printers, the whole gammut. Right now, the immediate needs are for the faxes. So I am forced to go on their schedule for the meantime.
Brian:

I understand their immediate need is for the faxes, however another immediate need should be to save money and increase productivity! Has you done a fax analysis and showed then what they are spending on printing and sending faxes?

If so share them with me and there may be a few things that we can do.

You have to show them the justification and the expalin the ROI to them. if they do not know what they are spending, then the mindset is just to replace the existing faxes with more faxes!

So even if it come down to replacing for fax, you still have some tricks up your sleeve with paperless fax reception and LAN fax.

Let me know the particulars and I'm sure we can all help to give you a creative and cost saving solution that you can present to your customer.

Art,

First off, I think that the p4p hotel serves as a valuable resource every day that I'm in the field. So it absolutley helped with this particular situation. One of the greatest benefits is to be able to speak with people who have equipment in their demo room. I work from a satellite office with no equipment but a small fax machine and a T1 connection, so I cannot personally execute alot of questions that people pose to me about equipment.

Regarding the deal, There will be about 35 peices placed, ranging from the GESTETNER 9199's fax, 6002 copiers, 45pm printers, and 6513 color copiers, plus a few other things some smaller mfp's scattered around. Thanks everyone for the help.
