Epson sued by its largest dealer?
The U.S. District Court Southern District of New York announced that a lawsuit was filed against Epson by Epic Office Solutions, a dealer headquartered in Tyler, Texas
- Last year, Epic Office Solutions was awarded Epson’s “Dealer of the Year” award
- Claims to have the nation’s largest fleet of Epson inkjet printers/MFPs in the field
- Alleges that Epson “committed fraud” by exaggerating the page yields for replacement inkjet cartridges
- Dealer claims it is losing money on its CPC customer contracts, and spending up to $80,000 per month on ink
- Also apparently unable to sell $600,000 worth of hardware
- Requesting a jury trial and damages to exceed $20 million plus interest, costs and legal fees
