Apart from the expansion, the company also announced the introduction of six new EcoTank models. This announcement would mean that the days of spending money on expensive Epson inkjet cartridges are now gone since users will have the freedom to print as many as they want anytime they want to.
Back then, the EcoTank series have only a few models, with the previously released printers L365, L455, and L565 containing two years’ worth of ink included in the package. Now, the EcoTank range offers six new models which are the ET-2710, ET-2750, ET-3700 and ET-4700 designed for home users and the ET-4750 and ET-16500 for large volume printing.
According to Epson NZ, the newer and bigger EcoTank printers are meant to maximize the benefits that are originally included in EcoTank’s two years’ worth of ink. As there are a total of 11 printers in the EcoTank range, there’s really no need to refill the ink tanks with Epson inkjet cartridges on a regular basis. On average, it will take them at least two years before a refill is required, and once they do, they only have to spend $17.99 for every color tank. This removes the need to purchase Epson inkjet cartridges which can be quite expensive.
Apart from that, the newer EcoTank units have a compact design along with front-facing ink tanks which add to their overall ease of use. They even feature unique drip-free ink bottles to make refilling the tanks easier and mess-free. Also, customers from New Zealand will be able to enjoy an extra 2-year warranty once they register their newly bough printer online within 3 months of purchase.
