Seiko Epson Corp. (Epson) announced a leadership change with Junkichi Yoshida set to become president, representative director, and CEO, effective April 1, 2025. He will succeed Yasunori Ogawa, who will take on the role of chair and director.

Yoshida, currently director and COO of the Printing Solutions Division, has been with Epson since 1988. His career includes leadership roles in strategic planning and digital transformation. He was appointed executive officer in 2020 and later led the company’s Printing Solutions Division.

Epson’s decision follows the company’s long-term vision, Epson 25 Renewed, which emphasizes sustainability and innovation. The 2025 fiscal year marks the conclusion of this vision, and the company is preparing its next strategic plan. The leadership transition aims to ensure the smooth execution of existing goals while setting the foundation for future growth.

The company said its focus remains on addressing societal challenges through efficient and precise technology. The board of directors and the Director Nomination Committee carefully considered the leadership shift to strengthen management and enhance corporate value.

With this transition, Epson aims to continue developing advanced technologies and expanding into new business areas while maintaining its commitment to sustainability.
