Sup guys,

I'm running a marathon on the phones today in an effort to contact a wider range of businesses in a shorter period of time. This is a typical voicemail message that I leave:

"My name is Jon Selman and I work for Creative Office Solutions. I specialize in improving business processes while reducing costs through Managed Print Services. I design customized print solutions encompassing hardware, consumables and service using devices that meet the requirements of individual departments and the organization as a whole. The outcome is a single cost per page for mono and color printing, copying and incoming faxes. I'm will be calling to follow up (or stopping by) at (an exact time/day)".

I then send a mailer out with a general overview of the services that I offer and follow up at the exact time I said I would.

So lets hear it phone ninjas. Let's hear your best elevator pitch!

I try not to leave a voice mail when going after net new business, however sometimes I will leave one.

As far as pitch. Hi Mr. or Mrs So & So, this is Art Post and I'm calling to schedule an appointment, could we meet on such and such day? I then wait for the response in order to pitch again...
“Mr. Prospect, Hi! My name is _____________and I am with __________________.

I would like to have the opportunity to tell you about our comprehensive managed service program which is centered around you, the CFO, and your focus on key business initiatives such as:
• The generation of revenue
• cost savings
• cost controls

This financial deliverable focuses on the segment of your business that industry analysts say is the 3rd largest cost center to your business and, if properly managed, is “a goldmine of opportunity for savings!”
We specialize in helping businesses evaluate and control costs associated with producing and managing their documents and we have had a great deal of success analyzing companies like yours and partnering with them to increase their profits.
The information I will share will be specific to your position, and can be extremely focused towards “your next possible cost savings initiative” within your company. At the end of that 15 – 18 minutes, based on your sense of perceived value, we can establish a future direction.
I have available either Wednesday morning or Thursday afternoon. Which of those options work best for you?
"Hi Mr. Prospect, my name is John Smith, I am a document consultant for XYZ Company. I provide companies with printing and scanning solutions.

Last week I spoke with [name of contact] at your office. He/She told me that you currently use Canon/Xerox/Ricoh/Whoever for your office printing.

I wanted to reach out to you to ask how your service is, and if there is anything I can do to help out with your printing and scanning needs?

My number is XXX-XXX-XXXX."

I use this pitch in cold calling too and it seems to have the greatest success for opening up good conversation with the decision maker.
