Was a little hesitant to post this since I was not sure on the success of eCab. Dec of 2003 installed an eCab 1000, SnapServer 4500 (1TB), loaded 45, and a 55 with print. The equip was installed in an attorney's office, and replaced a MIMMS system. They have been using the system actively for about 6 months; in that time they have scanned more than 300 banker boxes with the 45 and archived them to the eCab. In addition to the hardware, we partnered with a conversion company to include conversion software that will remove documents from the MIMMS and put it into the eCab. They plan to use the system for their office, plus they will be reselling the service to smaller attorneys for profit. I must give BMiller some of the credit on this deal since he found this client when he was working with us, if I recall correctly it was a $2000.00 fax that got his foot in the door. Three years later we have replaced all of their copiers, faxes, and almost all of the printers.
Since then, we have placed a second eCab in a medical facility. This facility has 3 locations, each location already uses various models of our equipment, and will have access to the eCab to pull medical records. This is their first taste of EDS and I am confident that eCab will make it a good one.
