Hi All,

I have a customer that works in an EXTREMELY secure environment. They require abut 10% of their MFD fleet to have NO Hard Drive. We have had a MFD that met this need (although scanning was disabled when we remove the HD), but the replacement model can not run at all without a hard drive.

So my question to the group is, does ANY Manufacturer that you sell or support offer a digital MFD that is Color, bigger than a desktop, and can copy & print without a hard drive. If you can provide Manufacturer and the model # that would be helpful. If you have any documentation on the machine having NO Hard Drive (like a spec sheet or white paper) even better.

     Thank you for your help!

Vince, SED is Self Encrypting Drive, But it's available as on option, not standard.
So the machine would work without the hard drive installed.

SSD usually stands for Solid State Drive. I think that would be considered a Hard Drive, no?
