I kenew BERTL was having financial problems however I just visted their web site and I was redirected to BLI with this:

BERTL’s website and products, including MegaNet, DataCheck, iTchat have been discontinued. BERTL has arranged for Buyers Laboratory to provide service and support for their customers, which is why you have been redirected to www.buyerslab.com.

It appears that Bertl is gone. I always considered them to be the prime alternative to BLI. Does this mean the industry has only one dominant player for third party reviews?

I must admit that a Bertl report did not seem to hold as much authority with buyers as a BLI report. Still, it was always nice to have two sources of reports in case BLI negatively reviewed your product.
