- Pioneer Kitten
- UNC3890
- Magic Kitten
- Also is warning of increased attacks from the Karakut hacking gang in Russia
- Aveanna Healthcare, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, agreed to pay $425,000 to the State of Massachusetts after a breach exposed PHI of 166,000 patients across 33 states.
- The State of Mississippi government notified an unknown number of citizens and employees that it was a victim of a cyber attack from a group in Russia.
- Mikhail Vasiliev of Russia was arrested in Bradford, Ontario, Canada for being a member of the Lockbit ransomware hacking group, that was used against over 1,000 organizations in the U.S.
- St. Luke’s Health of Texas notified 16,906 patients that their PHI was exposed after email phishing attack.
- Methodist Hospital of Memphis, TN notified an unknown number of patients that their PHI was illegally accessed by 5 former employees.
- Daily Mail newspaper is reporting that 20 million patients in 21 states are still at risk of dangerous healthcare after a ransomware attack on CommonSpirit Health, headquartered in Chicago, IL, and
has 140 hospitals in the U.S. - Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, IL is offering a settlement to resolve a lawsuit claiming negligence in regards to a breach caused by 2 former employees illegally accessing an unknown number of patient’s PHI.
- Somnia Inc., which runs 20 anesthesiology clinics in New York, notified 430,000 patients that their PHI was exposed after a cyber attack.
- Axia Women’s Health of Pennsylvania announced that former employee, Ashley Latimer of Philadelphia, was arrested after illegally accessing the PHI of 27 patients in order to steal their identities for financial reasons.
