"currently no printer online" error

SNMP connection between the Client PC and Server PC is blocked. Just turn off the firewall on the server PC, or have the IT guy allow an exception for port 161. You can still print from the Client PC, even if you get the SNMP message, just can't be certain whether the plotter is on line and ready.

I've already opened all the ports in the windows firewall that ricoh uses and have even turned the firewall off. Still No good.I've had this on a couple of installs and using the ip address instead of the hostname worked but not this time. I wonder if reloading the plotbase is in order?

Try - Control Panel - Admin Tools - Services - SNMP Service

Do a manual stop, then start. If all seems OK with the SNMP service, then it's typically something else blocking it between the client and server PC. I.e; anti-virus, other network service or rule that blocks port 161

I saw this on an XP machine. The only way I could get it to work was Web Based Client.

Take the Interface PCB print board out of the controller PC and place in another open available slot. Use slot #2 or #3.
Turn off the copier and turn it back on then turn on the computer. Make sure to do it in this order.
See if the message clears up.
Has the customer had any power spikes recently?
