BEAUMONT — A controversy concerning copiers paused the purchase of 128 copy machines for the Beaumont School District.

The motion to buy the new equipment could not generate enough support among school board members to even make it to a vote.

While school districts aren't required to buy supplies from the lowest bidder, a longtime local business founded in Beaumont says it's not getting a fair shake from BISD. view the video here
