Contex (Alleroed, Denmark), a world leader in large-format scanning, has introduced Nextimage Remote, a free app to accompany its Nextimage scanning software. Nextimage Remote provides users with a quick and easy way to control basic scanning tasks from an iOS (Apple) or Android tablet. The tablet can be placed directly in front of the user, making the scanning process even more streamlined, especially for batch scans. Operators can validate projects faster since the scanned images appear immediately in front of them, instead of where Nextimage is installed (which may be a few steps away from the scanner). Nextimage Remote is immediately available from the App Store and Google Play.
“Nextimage Remote simplifies the way our users work,” said Steve Blanken, General Manager at Contex Americas (Chantilly, Virginia). “It lets users focus on the documents in the scanning process, instead of navigating back to Nextimage after each scan. This provides a notable boost to productivity.” The app is compatible with Contex’s HD Ultra X Scanner Series and Nextimage scanning software version 5.4 or higher.
