I had met with a client the other day and I sold the customer on the comcolor system because of this single media application.  Instead of printing to bond paper I suggested using Pressure Seal paper because everything I was reading was that pressure seal paper would have a better open rate.  Of course the customer would have to buy the new media, the pressure seal machine.

This client is in the direct mail, and they are mailing for healthcare leads.  They do approx. 200K in mailers a month, 100K are still done with a laser device and 100K was moved to the comcolor/pressure seal.  After 24 months or so in use, I meet with the customer the day and asked the response rate for the mailers that are produced on the laser device.  He stated that rate  was six tenths of .06%, I then asked about the comcolor/pressure seal, he stated the response rate was 1.3 %!!!  Needless to say I was elated and felt that my recommendation hit the nail on the head for him.  BTW, I used 100K as number for the mailers, it may not be exact but it's close to what he told me.

Has anyone had success like this with pressure seal media?
