The Color Systems Consultant provides technical advice, consultation and direction to Océ Sales personnel, Customers, Prospects and Océ technology personnel in the review, securing and/or installation of advanced Océ Color Solutions. Typical activities include technology based presentations, assessment and review of Customer/Prospect workflow, document management, composition and production environment AND using digital color printing and color reproduction technology skills provides recommendations as to acquisition, integration, operation and problem resolution in the area of colorized document production. Position has some degree of Field Operations Regional and National oversight and support in the securing and implementation of Océ Color Solutions.
This position must be based in the Pacific Northwest.

Responsibilities:
>Provide solution direction to Océ Customers and Prospect as recognized expert in the digital color – active participant in Océ sales calls
>Maintain knowledge of Color industry and competitive developments
>Researches, develops and documents Color Solutions and practices with national scope
>Defines products and procedures required for optimum and consistent color management and reproduction
>Provide installation and integration direction of advanced Océ Color Solutions
>Provide installation time training in the use of advanced Océ Color Solutions
>Consults on Customer workflow touch-points (application, datastream, composition, re-engineering, etc) resulting in the successful integration of advanced Océ Color Solutions
>Provides requirements analysis, compatibility review, added value orientation and acclimation assisting Océ Customer/Prospect migrations from B&W to Color production
>Generate Professional Services revenue stream using advanced Color document management and production expertise
Qualifications:
>Bachelor degree in applied science or direct, Color technology based work experience that equates to a four-year college degree.
>Minimum of 5 years experience in a Color application composition/architecture in either a support or direct work environment
>Recognized technology expert in two Color disciplines directly related to Océ products, architecture and/or environments they are operational
>Experience working with Inkjet printers a Plus.
>Understanding and comfort navigating within complex systems solutions – integration and networking in Windows, UNIX and Mac environments
>Understanding and comfort using the Adobe Creative Suite product, Quark Xpress and/or other standard Color composition and management tools and their respective file formats (JPEG, TIFF, EPS, PDF). AFP knowledge a plus
>Use and operation of Postscript/PDF file handling tools – Acrobat Pro, Distiller, PitStop, etc
>Hands-on experience in Color analysis, pre-flight, imposition, profiling, calibration, screening sets and substrate influence on resulting engine rendering
>Ability to organize and plan/direct projects of significant scope
>Ability to quickly establish confidence and buy-in on opinion and direction
>Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
>Creative, independent and entrepreneurial thinker – seeing the ‘big picture’ but also able to plan, define & structure activities to get there
>Ability to manage own schedule, prioritize daily/weekly activities and work independent of direct management oversight
>Ability to travel more than 50% of the time
>Act with dedication to an overall team approach working with multiple entities toward a successful installation, integration and move to commercial operation of an advanced Océ Color Solution
