Color adjustment Savin 3224(B147 series)

We sell both products. We are against a KyoceraMita version of the CF3102. I'm familiar with the settings on the CF3102 and can tweak the colors pretty good. How can I tweak the colors on the Savin 3224. I have not been to school on this machine so I'm not yet familiar with the color settings. About all I know for color settings on this machine are the "Auto Calibration" that the machine does on its own.

The specific complaint is the red on the 3224 are not as rich as they are on the other product. This is the main thing I need to remedy. They are not currently printing. That is a possibility in the future.

I realize the KyoceraMita product does have the superior color but they do not have fax capability. If we can get the red's better we may have a chance with the fax option.

Was a standalone machine. They were making a copy of an inkjet print. Naturally the CF3102 did a better job at reproducing this image as expected. Tried the 'Manual Gamma" adjust in the service mode, boy what a waste of time that it was. Everything was already maxed out from the "Auto Calibration". Could not increase the density from the IDmax to the Low range where I needed to make the adjustments. Example is the two could not be seen on the standard C4 color test chart. On the Minolta it can but the Savin can't. Again the Minolta is the better machine and the customer is not worried what extras the Savin comes with. They want the better print/copy quality.

I did talk to the customer an informed them the the Minolta 3102 and it's variants from othe dealers is a discontinued item. The KyoceraMita sales person told the customer that this was a brand new box on the market and that they could get it at a special price. I informed them that it is at a special price because it is discontinued. Now we may be able to get our bizhub 350 or 450 in instead of the Savin because of our honesty. The Savin is still a good machine but not enough for what the customer wants.
