CHICAGO, Sept. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- (PRINT 17, Booth 2022) -- Ricoh USA, Inc. announced today that Cirrus Visual has left offset printing behind as it embraces digital and experiences unprecedented growth. The Tucson, Arizona-based marketing services provider (MSP) has opened a new, larger facility to accommodate the additional Ricoh digital and wide format presses needed to keep up with and continue the company's success. Committed to achieving graphic greatness and broadening revenue streams, Cirrus's long-standing partnership with Ricoh continues to drive new business.
"From the very beginning, learning that Ricoh had just the things we needed to grow and succeed really came as no surprise," said Brandon Blair, President, Cirrus Visual. "Over the past decade or so, Ricoh's established itself as a true innovator, delivering answers that address our business needs. In my experience, Ricoh has listened when we've spoken with them, and they've taken that feedback and developed effective, competitively priced solutions."
Over the years, Ricoh and Cirrus have worked together to expand the MSP's capabilities. When Cirrus wanted to add presses to handle increased demand and take advantage of their design team's abilities, they turned to Ricoh and the RICOH Pro C7110X. Its five-color capabilities and media flexibility expanded the limits of design. White and clear toner options and support for 27- and 49-inch substrates up to 300 gsm empower their operators to produce creative, eye-catching applications. This platform's 90 ppm speed, 1,200 x 4,800 dpi image quality and reliability help turn creative, complex jobs around quickly. Customer demand has led Ricoh to add neon yellow, neon pink and ultraviolet security red options, which have expanded these capabilities further.
"The fifth color station gave our design team entirely new design elements to work with. In our new facility, the RICOH Pro C7110X's consistency, quality and flexibility are a real workhorse for us. Eventually, our offset presses were relegated to only running the occasional job, such as printing on foil. However, the RICOH Pro C7110X can do that too, so it made sense to get rid of the offset and go all digital. The results have spoken for themselves. We haven't looked back."
Since moving to the new, larger facility, Cirrus hasn't stopped looking forward, either. Eager to broaden revenue streams and bring more aspects of their marketing services in-house, they decided on a RICOH Pro L4160 for its quality, versatility and dependability. With eco-friendly, aqueous latex ink and outstanding seven-color printing, including orange, green and white, the device was a perfect fit on the first two points. Most importantly for a growing business is this: Cirrus's RICOH Pro L4160 is yet to experience a minute of downtime.
"When we have visitors at our new facility, it's the RICOH Pro L4160 that draws the 'oohs' and 'ahhs,'" said Blair. With the capabilities this device brings, Cirrus is continuing to create new opportunities to engage customers looking for a wide format partner.
"Seeing customers scale with us is an amazing feeling every time," said John Fulena, Vice President, Commercial & Industrial Printing Business Group, Ricoh USA, Inc. "The voice of the customer is integral to how we shape each generation of offerings. That collaboration helps us tailor our approach to the changing market and to specific customers' needs. When we hear we're getting it right, in the form of success stories like Cirrus', it adds another proof point, both for our offerings and our approach."
