Anyone have any information on how to convert a Ricoh SPC430dn to ceramic toner/developer?
I have someone interested in this and am not familiar with the process.
Evidently it can be done and there are a couple of companies out there that do the conversion and sell the units at a huge markup.
Thanks,
John

Ceramic? Are you referring to magnetic imaging or MICR? The company that does MICR transformations is called Rosetta Technologies. If this is what you need...

No. It is a special toner for printing onto screen material that is transferred onto a ceramic pot or vase and then fired in a kiln.
Supposedly there are toners and developers that can be used in the Ricoh SP C430DN and SP C820DN printers. I have read that you can swap out the toner and developer and you have to calibrate the printer to work with these.
I just don't know how to get them or how to do the calibration. Hoping that someone had run in this in the field and has a solution.
