Jun 11, 2010 – Central Business Systems, one of Long Island’s leading office equipment companies, was recently recognized by BEI PROs as one of the first 20 office equipment service companies around the world to receive PROs Elite 100 certification. The company was rated on a series of criteria designed to measure its customer service procedures and outcomes and overall customer satisfaction.
In making the announcement, BEI PROs partner Steve Rolla said, “We are pleased to recognize Central Business as one of the first businesses nationwide to be certified as a BEI PROs Elite 100 company. The company has long had a reputation for providing superior customer service. This recognition and the certification process prove that.”
“We are pleased to reach this important milestone for our company. We have always prided ourselves in providing the best possible service to our customers. There are many office equipment suppliers and products. When you are dealing with sophisticated technology that naturally wears down, it is your customer service that differentiates you from the competition. For years, we have prided ourselves on our customer satisfaction. We now have the procedures and metrics in place to prove it,” said Michael Chambers, President.
Founded in 1948 by Tobias Infante, whose grandson Sean Infante is an owner and Vice President, Central Business Systems brought to the Long Island market state-of-the-art typewriters and quickly became well known for its commitment to providing quality customer service. Now, over 60 years later, the company provides customized solutions through partnerships with many of the top office equipment manufacturers in the world, including Sharp, HP, Lexmark and Konica Minolta.
Central is the largest independent Sharp dealer and one of the largest independent Konica Minolta dealers on Long Island. Year after year, Central has been the recipient of Konica Minolta Corp.’s prestigious Protech Service Award for attaining its highest standard of service performance. As a leading distributor of office technology and services, Central is free to seek out the best possible hardware and software solutions to provide its customers with cutting-edge technology, allowing them to increase productivity and reduce costs.
“Most other companies are limited to sell only one brand of office machines. Instead, Central provides a wide range of multifunctional office products and solutions. Finding the right fit to the customer’s specific application is part of the difference between making a sale and making a customer,” Mr. Chambers said.
Central Business Systems provides total document and imaging solutions that begin with an analysis of its customer’s needs. It will then recommend multifunctional copier, printer, scanner, fax equipment, software and managed service and supply plans that will meet those needs with the goal of reducing costs and increasing efficiency. The company’s services include scanned document management, including electronic forms and document routing, as well as managed print services. Managed print service is a growing “green” trend in the industry that analyzes an organization’s current printer fleet and related output devices and then places the maintenance and supply of the equipment under one service umbrella, helping to reduce printing costs and downtime while automating control of the entire management process.
“Now with over 50 employees and thousands of customers throughout the New York Metro area, our company has come a long way since my grandfather operated a storefront in 1948. We remain a fiercely independent local dealer with the partnerships and resources necessary to make sure that our customers have access to cutting-edge technology, equipment and a world-class local service staff to meet their demands, all while providing personalized attention that our larger competitors are unable to provide, ” said Sean Infante, Vice President.
