Canon will introduce four new imagePROGRAF large format printers for use in technical applications, including the CAD and GIS markets.

Available from July this year, the 24in imagePROGRAF iPF650 and iPF655 and the 36in iPF750 and iPF755 models and are some of the fastest in their class.

Specially designed to meet the demands of the Geographical Information System (GIS); Computer-Aided Design (CAD); Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC); reprographics; and other technical document markets, these new space-saving printers produce a diverse range of complex, technical documents.

Built for speed, quality and ease of use, the printers are designed to simplify large format printing.

On-board support for HP-GL/2 and HP-RTL files gives each model the capability to meet the demands of any professional with a need for printing complex full-colour renderings, CAD drawings, GIS maps and other large format graphics quickly, easily and with remarkable detail.

The iPF650/iPF655 machines can print an A1 image in 30 seconds, while the iPF750/iPF755 printers can output an A0 sheet in 48 seconds.

“The launch of these printers raises the number of Canon machines in the CAD and GIS arena to seven and indicates our on-going push to increase market share in the A1 and A0 technical sectors,” said Jeremy Plint, Marketing Manager – Office Imaging Products at Canon. "By offering versatile, compact models which maintain our impressive image quality, we're giving users access to technology that enables them to take their technical outputs to the highest possible standard.”

Made with less plastic and reduced CO2 emissions, this model has earned ENERGY STAR qualification and draws only 140 watts of power during use.
