-- imagePRESS Workflow Solutions - The imagePRESS Workflow Solutions
program is a collection of Canon-branded and third-party hardware
and software solutions that focus on key workflows and production
printing environments to maximize efficiencies, and help printers
build a profitable digital print business. At AIIM On Demand, Canon
demonstrated several solutions that will help imagePRESS customers
integrate their new digital press into their existing workflows,
automate and streamline production processes to increase efficiency
and productivity, and offer new services and solutions to their
customers to grow their business.

Canon and Heidelberg, a member of the imagePRESS Workflow Solutions
program, demonstrated how the imagePRESS C7000VP can integrate into
traditional offset workflows. This integration, first announced by
the two companies last fall, will be previewed at AIIM On Demand
with a customized option in the Prinect Digital Print Manager that
streamlines jobs to the imagePRESS C7000VP. The integration
provides customers who have a Prinect workflow to leverage the
investments they have already made while incorporating digital
printing into the services they offer to their customers.

Canon U.S.A. introduced Objective Advantage as the newest member
of the imagePRESS Workflow Solutions program. Objective Advantage
demonstrated how print service providers can streamline and
automate their digital production workflows and maximize their
return on investment using Objective Advantage's OASymbio
application and Canon's imagePRESS digital presses. OASymbio
utilizes JDF to streamline production processes, from file
submission via a web to print application, through production at a
digital press, and prepopulating finishing equipment with
information about the job.

Canon demonstrated the integration of the latest release of EFI's
Digital StoreFront 3.0 web-to-print platform with Canon and EFI
solutions. The new version of Digital StoreFront was demonstrated
with the EFI Logic business management software, the Fiery JDF
Connector, imagePRESS Server A3000 based on EFI's newest Fiery
platform and the imagePRESS C7000VP. The demonstration highlighted
how print service providers can streamline their business and
production workflows as information about the job gathered in
Digital StoreFront can be populated into other solutions. Canon
will make Digital StoreFront 3.0 generally available on May 1st.
Also demonstrated in the Canon booth was the recently developed
integration of MicroPress with the Color imageRUNNER C5180.
MicroPress is EFI's color and black-and-white raster-based workflow
solution. MicroPress connectivity kits for the Color imageRUNNER
C5180 are currently available from Canon.

Canon U.S.A. also announced that beginning this summer it will
begin distributing Bitstream's Pageflex Persona Cross Media Suite.
Persona, a desktop software package enables the creation of
database-driven variable data print (VDP) and personalized HTML
e-mails, provides imagePRESS C7000VP owners with new services to
generate revenue from existing and new customers and grow their
business.

-- imageWARE PrePress Manager - Canon announced the availability of
its imageWARE PrePress Manager software that helps enable print
room operators to better control and manage prepress, printing and
finishing workflow. imageWARE PrePress Manager provides print shop
operators with an intuitive interface complete with detailed page
layout viewing options. With support for detailed document
imposition, registration marks, spine editing and binding options,
imageWARE PrePress Manager makes job creation simple. imageWARE
PrePress Manager is also ideal for supporting variable data
applications, allowing users to easily define variable content on
the page and link these areas to OBDC compliant database fields.
With support for configurable hot folders, JDF, and its own Print
Job Manager, imageWARE PrePress Manager can be easily configured to
automate print shop workflow for delivery of production output to
both Canon and non-Canon devices.

-- Canon's Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform (MEAP)
Announcements - Canon was the first manufacturer in the industry to
launch an MFP software development platform in 2003. The Java-based
MEAP development environment provides a platform for the creation
of unique applications, customizing the interaction between users
and Canon's devices, while tying tightly into a user's specific
workflow. Today, Canon announced that Sepialine, a developer of
business expense applications targeting the architectural,
engineering and construction markets, has licensed the MEAP
Software Developers Kit (SDK) to develop customizable print and
copy tracking and billing solution for Canon imageRUNNER MFPs.
Sepialine joins a long list of Canon Alliance Partners that have
developed solutions based on Canon's proprietary MEAP technology,
including Ribstone, Equitrac, Pharos, eCopy, nQueue and Copitrak,
among others.

-- imagePROGRAF Developers Support Program - Canon also announced that
the Company's Developer Support Program (DSP) has been extended to
the imagePROGRAF line of large format printers. The DSP will
