TOKYO, February 26, 2025—Canon Inc. today announced that it successfully removed certain product listings for third-party toner cartridges for use in laser printers from multiple e-commerce platforms in the second half of 2024.
In this latest term, in accordance with its business strategies, Canon selected the patents shown in the table below from among the vast number of patents in its patent portfolio and requested that the following e-commerce platforms remove certain listings that infringe them.

As in the past, in the event Canon firmly believes that third-party toner cartridges unlawfully use its patented inventions after detailed examination, Canon remains committed to enforcing its patent rights against such third-party toner cartridges.
