MELVILLE, NY—April 7, 2015—Canon Solutions America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., announced it will showcase its latest large-format print solutions, which are specially featured for the display and signage market, at booth #1968 during the ISA International Sign Expo 2015. The event will convene at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, April 9-11, 2015.
“Canon Solutions America’s large-format printing solutions on display at this year’s ISA International Sign Expo feature advanced technology and unique capabilities that address the specific needs and challenges of sign and visual communications industry professionals,” said Sal Sheikh, vice president, Marketing, Large-format Solutions, Canon Solutions America. “These versatile solutions deliver fast speeds, productivity and application capability, making it easier than ever to create high-quality and dynamic signage.”
Large-format Solutions for Quality Color Signage
Signage industry professionals demand high-quality tools that can produce exceptional display applications, which in turn enable them to visually communicate with their customers. During the expo, Canon Solutions America will highlight several of its latest offerings in flexible, large-format printing solutions. This includes the OcÉ Arizona 6100 Series flatbed UV printer models, as well as the innovative OcÉ ColorWave 700 and the OcÉ ColorWave 900 Printer.
The entirely new OcÉ Arizona 6100 Series flatbed UV printers are dedicated flatbed systems designed for versatile, higher volume production of large-format display graphics printing onto rigid substrates. The new printer series features an extra-large vacuum table with two independent printing zones, each with its own high-flow vacuum systems. This unique design allows for simultaneous printing as well as media loading/unloading, all vital to non-stop production. For greater flexibility, OcÉ Arizona Series printers can be combined with digital cutters, also available from Canon Solutions America, which deliver automated cutting of rigid substrates and rolled media.
Designed for high-volume production, the OcÉ ColorWave 900 printer closes the gap between digital inkjet and traditional offset technology, offering a digital workflow which can produce more than 6,000 square feet of display graphics per hour. The OcÉ ColorWave 900 integrates a paper handling system which includes capacity for up to six rolls of media and robust stacking capabilities. Plus, ONYX Thrive print workflow software can be paired with the printers to meet even the most demanding color requirements.
The recently launched OcÉ ColorWave 700 large-format printing system is a cost-wise, space-wise solution for sign and visual communications companies looking to produce a variety of graphic arts applications. The system is ideal for those requiring greater print productivity. OcÉ MediaSense technology provides the ability to print on thicker media (up to 32mil) and enables production of a wide range of graphics and point-of-sale applications such as color posters, pop-up banners, disposable POP, wallpaper, canvas and many others—all with one device. The OcÉ ColorWave 700 also features patented OcÉ CrystalPoint technology, which produces consistent, waterfast prints with sharp lines, high readability of fine details and smooth, even area fills. In addition, optional Onyx workflow software helps operators achieve brighter, more vibrant color images and predictable color to meet customers’ demands.
Also on display will be the 24″ Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6450 large-format printer, which was specifically designed to meet the highest standards of professionals in the graphic, fine art, photography and proofing industries. A large color spectrum is produced by the 12-color LUCIA EX pigment ink set, which also provides better scratch resistance and smoother gradations. A new multi-sensor provides improved color density detection and full calibration within 15 minutes and the option to add an onboard Spectrophotometer for advanced color management.
AppRoom Encourages Hands-On Interaction with Visual Communications Applications
In addition to the printers on display, attendees can take a tour of the AppRoom and see first-hand how they can adopt new high-margin applications and infuse new revenue into their business. The AppRoom features products printed on metal, wood, cork, chalkboards, Plexiglas, vinyl, wallpaper, flooring, even musical instruments and more. Also on center stage are applications like packaging, labels, textile, signage, table tops, barstools, displays, POP, 2.5 D textured graphics and more, all displayed in a store/business setting.
Attendees are encouraged to talk to Canon Solutions America application experts and take a look at the “take-out” menu to see which applications and products fit their business. Visitors can tap into the creativity, walking away with new ideas that will help them differentiate their business.
