Canon Scanner Recognized for Outstanding Value

January 12, 2015 – Hackensack (NJ) – When compared against competitive A3 scanners in its speed range, the 60-ppm (120 ipm) Canon imageFORMULA DR-M1060 offers a lower than average list price, lower than average estimated total cost of ownership (TCO) and lower than average cost per scan. In fact, the unit’s estimated TCO is about 30 percent lower than average, which helped it earn a BLI Outstanding Achievement award for Value for the Winter 2015 award season.

The unit handles a wider than average range of paper weights through its ADF. It also offers Folio Mode, which captures the front and back of a scanned item and then digitally stitches the images together to form one image, for example. Full auto mode automatically activates all of the features available through the driver, such as de-skew. Via the bundled CaptureOnTouch utility, users can customize up to nine profiles for frequently used operations. The unit also comes bundled with Kofax VRS software for additional image manipulation tools.

Other features include a dedicated double-feed release button at the control panel, which allows users to ignore double feeds for documents scanned with sticky notes or photos attached, for example, and a smaller than average storage footprint.
