Fujio Mitarai, CEO of Canon, spoke during Corporate Strategy Conference 2022 in Tokyo, Japan

For office printer/MFP division, “seeking to reduce costs by consolidating printer product platforms”
- “will also develop office printers that will better align with offices’ digital transformation strategies”
- “aim of becoming the number one company in the office and home printer markets”
“will make a full scale entry into digital industrial printing, such as label and package printing, as well as introduce commercial printing equipment for new markets”
- “high expectations for the future of commercial printing, which is expected to continue to grow as a result of the shift from analog to digital printing”
- “we plan to expand our lineup by introducing products in areas that we have not been able to cover before”
Aiming for 4% to 5% annual sales growth for printers, MFPs and PPS
