Canon reports on last quarter’s earnings

- Net sales from all divisions up 21.1% to 1,157.2 billion yen ($8.91 billion)
- Operating profit up 29.2% to 97.344 billion yen ($749.6 million)
- Net income up 41.9% to 84.843 billion yen ($653.39 million)
- Printing Division net sales up 22.6% to 638,129 million yen ($4.8 billion
- (includes printers, MFPs, laser, inkjet, scanners, calculators, PPS and wide format)
- Operating profit up 8.6% to 52,571 million yen ($400 million)
- Operating profit margin down from 9.3% to 8.2%
- Office division sales up 23.95 to 252,600 million yen ($1.92 billion)
- MFP sales up 29.4% to 165,400 million yen ($1.6 billion)
- MFP units up 27%
- Laser printer sales up 17.3% to 173,300 million ye
- PPS/Wide Format sales up 27% to 108,000 million yen ($821 million)
