Canon puts document management in the cloud
Canon has launched a cloud version of its Therefore document management platform, hosted by Fujitsu Australia.
Therefore Online is designed to provide a full information management and workflow solution for businesses across various information sources including paper documents, barcodes, email, internet forms and electronic files such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs, and more.
Jeremy Plint, Assistant General Manager, Canon said, “We’ve been using Therefore for years to streamline the way information moves through businesses. Our Therefore customers have gained real efficiencies, so now we’re pleased to offer the same powerful functionality combined with the flexibility, speed and lower up-front costs that cloud offers.”
Offered as a monthly subscription on a pay-as-you-use basis, Therefore Online can be tailored to suit businesses’ needs with the flexibility to choose the number of licenses and storage space required.
“Therefore Online is an intuitive and user-friendly platform that promotes mobility and collaboration in a way that allows employees to search, control and share information where ever they are and from any device without compromising the integrity and security of data,” Plint added.
Hosted on Fujitsu’s platform, the data is backed up and monitored regularly with primary and secondary data storage in Australia. In the first release, the back up as-a-service (BaaS) component occurs in Singapore, however this will also transition to an Australian instance in a future release.
