The manufacturer is targeting the production printing machines at commercial printers, print-for-pay and central reprographic departments (CRDs).
According to Canon, the latest additions to the imagePress range offer faster simplex and duplex output on a variety of stocks in weights from 60-325gsm.
Trevor Dodsworth, Canon Europe's head of product marketing within business-to-business, said the manufacturer was confident that customers would benefit from the improved productivity of its latest imagePress series.
"Extending their print-on-demand capabilities, the enhanced engines will also give customers the confidence to handle the most timecritical and premium-quality digital print jobs and enable them to pursue growth opportunities by making the leap into new areas of business," he added.
Canon also said that the latest colour presses could be paired with its new Canon controllers, the imagePress server 3200, 2200 and 1200, which are based on EFI technology.
The manufacturer has also used Ipex as a launch pad for its latest web-to-print software, Helix Production Workflow v2.0.
New features incorporated into version two include enhanced job submission, enhanced document make-ready, and improved support for large-format printing.
