Canon, Lexmark & HP MFPs are hacked again

Pwn2Own held another hackers convention, this time in Toronto, Canada

  • Pwn2Own is a hacking competition organized each year by Trend Micro’s Zero Day Initiative (ZDI), where ethical hackers, cybersecurity experts, and several other contestants take part.
  • As before, part of event was a contest to see if hackers could hack into MFPs on stage
  • Over $60,000 in prizes was paid out to those who hacked into:
    • Canon imageCLASS MF753Cdw
    • Lexmark/Ninestar CX331adwe
    • HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw
