Well the time has come that I have been waiting for. The IRC2225 and IRC2230 are gone. I am glad to see this change in the product line and am ready to get my hands on it. I am assuming most of you that are Canon dealers have seen the releases on this. I have not liked the 2225/2230 series since we first started placing them in the field.

What didn't you like about the iR ADV C2225/C2230 series?
This new line effectively fixes these issues?
We had issues with mis-feeds the most. I also just didn't think it was a well built machine. Felt too flimsy compared to their other systems. I knew it wasn't Canon's favorite either when our TSE had said many times it was a poorly designed machine. I think it filled a niche they didn't have covered when you look at that segment as everyone pretty much had a 20/25 ppm system and with Canon you had to go to the C5235.
Here is some more info if anyone is interested: http://www.swirlingovercoffee....bility-productivity/
If this is built as solid as the C5200 series, Canon is going get a lot more competitive in the commercial side.
Hey Art, just to add on to what Jason said:
UFR II print driver is great for general office printing, but offers pretty crappy colour quality and can't print when using DOS-based applications (AS 400, etc). Adding on PostScript or PCL costs $600 to $800. Pretty expensive in a competitive situation, especially when you're in a low volume commercial deal that needs 25 ppm colour.
The new inner finisher on this series looks really cool.
Probably more innovation that I have seen from an inner finisher ever and more flexibility in terms of use cases.
What do you think, Jason?
Czech, Art,
I am going to disagree on the color quality of the UFR II driver, I think it is quite good. I would agree if we were talking about the older UFR driver, but not the newer UFR II.
The only real draw back of the UFR II is it is a little slower than the PCL or PS drivers because it pre-rasters the print job on the PC or MAC before sending it to the Canon.
