Canon has introduced its imageRUNNER 1700 series of multifunction printers.
They are available for customer delivery now through Canon Business Solutions
and authorized dealers.
The 1700 series boasts six new MFPs suited for
either desktop or floor-standing placements. They all possess "powerful" colour
scanning/sending technology and a 5.7" LCD touch panel that provides device
access and navigation.
imageRUNNER 1750/1750iF ($5,200 and $6,100) has an
output speed of up to 52 pages per minute (ppm) and scan up to 52 images per
minute (ipm), while the 1740/1740iF ($3,900 and $4,900) has the same scanning
speed, but a slightly lower ppm, with 42. The 1730/1730iF ($2,550 and $3,450)
has an output speed of 32 ppm and a scan speed of 32 ipm.
iF models are
equipped with additional print and network scan functions.
These systems
also allow network administrators to apply authentication and enterprise
management utilities, which includes the imageWARE Enterprise Management
Console. They also have the uniFLOW Serverless Secure Printing function, uniFLOW
server integration with card or PIN code authentication, Cost Centre selection,
extensive reporting capabilities, and Secured Print.
All imageRUNNER 1700
series units have a 550-sheet capacity cassette that handles up to legal-sized
media. Three additional cassettes can be added, for a maximum paper capacity of
2,300 sheets, including stack bypass tray capacity of 100 sheets.
Additionally, they feature UFGII LT for printing, 512 MB RAM, colour
scanning, colour send, and one USB port. They are Energy Star qualified as
well.
