MELVILLE, N.Y., April 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., announces that it has expanded its participation in the Quest international community of users of Oracle applications to Platinum level, and is a sponsor of the COLLABORATE 16 event, to be held in Las Vegas, April 10-14. At COLLABORATE 16, CIIS will demonstrate AP automation solutions that can help streamline even the most complex finance and accounting operations.
Quest includes over 56,000 members from over 9,500 companies, organized into groups around specific industries, around product modules, and functional areas, such as accounts payable, business intelligence or training. As a Platinum partner, CIIS expands its active participation in this community, exchanging ideas and sharing technology as well as experience with Oracle ERP systems, particularly JD Edwards, E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft.
As a COLLABORATE sponsor, CIIS will exhibit its automated accounts payable solutions at its booth # 722 in the Exhibitor Showcase. The solutions are based on the Enterprise Imaging Platform (EIP) by Canon - a single middleware platform that captures, creates, processes and automates document workflows while integrating relevant information into various enterprise applications, and thus enables automation of document-intensive business processes. The EIP based solutions are well suited for integration with the Oracle JD Edwards, E-Business Suite, and PeopleSoft systems. The solutions can deliver exceptional efficiency, particularly in complex accounts payable processes typically found in large companies that deal with numerous vendors, multiple locations, and rapid growth.
"CIIS is becoming more entrenched within the various segments of Oracle applications users. Partnering with Quest and sponsoring events such as COLLABORATE 16 enables us to share Canon's experience and expertise in both digital imaging and business process automation, to transform organizations through digitization initiatives", said Mr. Tetsuhiro Minamide, president, Canon Information and Imaging Solutions.
COLLABORATE 16 attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in CIIS-led sessions, including:
- "End-to-End AP Automation: A Story of a High-growth Company", on April 11, which will share a real-life customer story of how a dynamic company turned its AP department into a lean business unit, able to support the company's rapid business expansion;
- "How One Global Company Leverages AP Automation to Save Cost and Gain Control", on April 11, in which the Finance & Accounting team of Canon U.S.A. will present how automating Procure-to-Pay processes has enabled expansion of their Shared Services division, to support accounting processes for multiple subsidiaries and locations.
- Accounts Payable Special Interest Group (SIG) Meeting on April 13, focused on the automation of the Dual GAAP accounting.
