With the addition of the Oce ColorStream 3700 system, the Oce inkjet family extends the company's leadership in the digital full-color inkjet segment and helps a wider range of print providers make the transition from toner systems, other inkjet platforms, or offset printing to high-speed digital printing.
Oce expands market-leading inkjet portfolio
The new Oce ColorStream 3700 system joins the market-leading Oce inkjet portfolio, spearheaded by the Oce ColorStream 3500 system as part of the fastest growing inkjet portfolio in the industry. The highest inkjet productivity, built on the Oce DigiDot® technology heads and proven Oce flexibility and efficiency makes for a total package unmatched in the industry.
Darwill, Hillsdale, Ill., was one of the first U.S. installations of the Oce ColorStream® 3500 inkjet printing system. That installation gave the printing company entry into an expanded range of volume for its digital color production offering. The availability of a higher speed version permits customers to complete more jobs within tighter production windows, providing additional capacities to grow their print volume.
High-speed full-color model in the Oce ColorStream Twin series
The Oce ColorStream 3700 system is the high-speed model in the Oce ColorStream Twin series and offers a process speed of 328 feet per minute with a print and paper width of 21.25 inches. That translates to 716 letter images per minute for a single unit or in a twin configuration, 1432 letter images per minute for monthly volumes of up to 43 million pages.
The Oce ColorStream 3700 system offers all of the features of the Oce ColorStream 3500 system, while increasing productivity. Through the HeadSafe concept, the Oce ColorStream 3700 system is the first high-volume inkjet system offering users of high-speed, high-quality monochrome toner-based solutions an extremely efficient 1:1 comparable inkjet solution. The Oce ColorStream 3700 system allows a direct transition to full-color inkjet as well as a smooth and slow migration starting with high monochrome print volumes without tedious manual cleaning when switching to full color after longer periods of monochrome printing.

The Oce ColorStream Twin series inkjet printing systems were first unveiled at the Canon Expo in Tokyo in November 2010 starting with the Oce ColorStream 3500 system.
