Canon Europe has announced the addition of Colortrac's SmartLF Gx+ 42 and Gx+ T42 scanners to its large-format range of solutions. Print-for-pay businesses and graphic arts professionals looking to generate new revenue streams, and document managers looking to re-create originals, can link these scanners to Canon's imagePROGRAF range of large-format printers (LFPs) to enhance their reprographic capabilities.
By taking advantage of the Colortrac SmartLF Gx+'s CCD technology and 1200dpi optical resolution, printers can accurately capture vivid colours along with very fine line and image details. They can also meet a wide range of customer requirements thanks to the Gx+ scanner's ability to scan and copy both technical and full colour graphics on media up to 20mm thick (Gx+ T42) and 1168mm in size. After scanning, files can be printed on a Canon large-format printer to produce copies with high fidelity colour and graphics, or sent to archive for customers who are digitising their document libraries.
Both the Gx+ 42 and Gx+ T42 models can be configured with ease. They offer a USB 2.0 plug and play connection, allowing users to start scanning straight away with the included SmartLF all-in-one scan to file, copy and e-mail software.

The Colortrac SmartLF Gx+ 42 and Gx+ T42 scanners are available across Europe now through selected Canon dealers.
