Canon Middle East, a world-leader in imaging solutions, completes its line-up of second generation black-and-white imageRUNNER ADVANCE multi-functional devices (MFD) with the launch of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4200 series. The four new A3 devices combine fast reliable output with unique second generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE capabilities to help busy offices in organisations of all sizes address key document handling challenges, including workflow efficiency, cost-control and data security.
Key features that were optional on the first generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4000 series are now available as standard, such as the award-winning Universal Login Manager[i], mobile PRINT & SCAN, Access Management System, searchable scan file formats and secure hard disk erase, offering excellent value for money. With the addition of the new devices, the entire imageRUNNER ADVANCE range now has consistent and efficient management capabilities.
Smarter ways of working
From convenient personalisation and authentication as standard, to efficient end-to-end document workflows, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE range addresses the document processing challenges of organisations of all sizes.
Thanks to the combination of a user-friendly colour touchscreen display and Canon’s MEAP and MEAP Web application platforms, the new devices seamlessly integrate with Canon’s award-winning[ii] range of software to provide powerful output management and capture workflows. For example, imageRUNNER ADVANCE offers tighter and smarter integration with uniFLOW, Canon’s industry-leading single print and scan management platform, enabling the complete management and control of document output and scanning. With imageRUNNER ADVANCE and uniFLOW, configurable scan workflows that feature optical character recognition (OCR) and document compression technologies help further streamline document capture processes.
The new imageRUNNER ADVANCE devices enable mobile working practices by providing users with a range of simple and serverless mobile print solutions. Whether organisations require the option to print from iOS and Android mobile devices, or via Google’s Cloud Print service, the devices enable easy mobile printing while also providing the option to scan directly to a range of popular cloud services with powerful online dictionary-based OCR conversion. Furthermore, uniFLOW provides organisations with a secure platform for printing from any device, while direct integration with Therefore Online allows organisations to make their document workflows available remotely, or direct from the device, to increase mobile efficiency.
Enhanced security and cost control
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4200 series provides a range of scalable security capabilities to address the data protection concerns of any organisation. Canon’s Universal Login Manger provides smaller organisations with enterprise level reporting, user and feature-based access control, as well as full visibility of usage behaviour and costs. The option for sophisticated Data Loss Prevention (DLP) provides larger organisations and IT managers with complete and central control of document output and capture across their print fleet.
Efficient device management
Designed to support busy offices with large workloads, the new devices provide fast and reliable output and feature a large paper capacity of up 4,980 sheets. They can also be centrally managed, monitored and reconfigured, providing consistency with the management and operation required across the imageRUNNER ADVANCE range. To further maximise device uptime, the new devices provide the option for remote service capabilities, such as toner management and ordering and remote upgrading and diagnosis, which enables service providers to better support organisations and save them valuable time.
Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East, commented: “The success of the range speaks for itself. With sales of almost 360,000 imageRUNNER ADVANCE units in EMEA since 2009, we’ve found that organisations value our broad range of tailored A3 and A4 solutions for black-and-white and colour printing, with all the added benefits of our feature-rich imageRUNNER ADVANCE range, including workflow efficiency, advanced security and control features as well a class-leading energy efficiency.”
