Imaging tech giant hopes usability and security enhancements will bear fruits for the channel
Canon has taken the wraps off of the latest generation of its imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform, which it hopes will ease installation and management for channel partners, resulting in increased business.
The third edition supports 26 products across seven series, bringing with it enhanced security, a focus of usability and full standardisation.
Canon says the solution represents an opportunity for partners to “stand out” from competitors and reduce the time needed for service calls - ultimately allowing them to “dedicate more time to focusing on their business growth”.
In terms of beefed up security, the latest iteration of imageRUNNER ADVANCE boasts start-up verification, Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Encryption with FIPS140-2 validation to automatically encrypt data and new Syslog data for real-time device security information.
Partners also gain time savings, Canon says, thanks to autonomous security certificate updates, available through enrolment with either Simple Certificate Enrolment Protocol (SCEP) or Network Device Enrolment Service (NDES). read the rest here
