OfficeMax's CopyMax Centers to Feature Canon's imagePROGRAF W8200
Printers to Offer Large Format Options to Consumers, Graphics and Office Professionals
Canon U.S.A., Inc., the nation's market share brand leader in black-and-white and color laser copier/printer solutions(1), announced an agreement with OfficeMax, the retail channel of Boise Office Solutions, a division of Boise Cascade Corporation BCC, to provide its CopyMax Centers with Canon's most advanced large-format printer model - the recently launched imagePROGRAF(TM) W8200PG (pigment)(2). The W8200PG represents the latest in Canon's wide format solution technology, and will allow CopyMax Centers across the nation to effortlessly meet a more diverse range of consumer and professional printing needs.
In a move to offer quality poster-sized printing options and signage services to retail and corporate customers, OfficeMax selected Canon's imagePROGRAF products based on speed, image clarity and maintenance considerations. The Canon imagePROGRAF W8200PG produces brilliantly detailed, color saturated, photo-realistic prints while simultaneously boasting some of the industry's fastest large-format printing speeds in their respective classes - key advantages for generating speedy, print-while-you-wait service. Additional value-added advantages such as ease-of-use, straightforward maintenance and media flexibility clearly underscore the ability of Canon's imagePROGRAF line-up to anticipate and facilitate the high volume, quick-turnaround and affordable pricing demands of OfficeMax patrons.
"We are very excited about adding Canon's imagePROGRAF printers to our CopyMax Centers," said Brian Norris, senior vice president of CopyMax. "By facilitating the fast production of high-quality large format prints, these new printers allow us to expand our imaging services of an even greater range of customers, ranging from retail consumers who want to create a poster from a photo or image file to the commercial customers who wants professional quality prints on a wide variety of media, including paper, film and canvas."
"It has been a long-standing objective of ours to equip CopyMax Centers with large-format devices - in order to expand printing options for our customer base," added Mr. Norris. "And, as a long-standing customer and operator of Canon imaging equipments and solutions, we are already familiar with Canon's ability to provide us with unmatched support services, a vital concern in our business."
"The adoption of Canon's W8200PG printers will allow CopyMax to further their revenue stream opportunities by better servicing the quick turn-around needs of walk-in customers," said Amit Bagchi, director of Printer Division at Canon U.S.A., Inc. "Naturally, we think that OfficeMax will see greater sales in its CopyMax Centers as a result of these machines' ability to rapidly produce highly quality output for walk-in customers. And as a long-standing solution provider for CopyMax centers, we're pleased to be expanding our long-term relationship with OfficeMax."
Canon's W8200PG devices inject several technology innovations into the imagePROGRAF line, including Canon's PS Level-3 Compatible RIP, 1.07" ultra high-density print head for brilliant color, 44" media support and speeds up to two minutes for an A0-size printout in Draft Mode. The W8200PG additionally features improvements for simplified operation of streamlined workflows and unattended printer operation to match the highest productivity standards of professional printers.
