Dubai, UAE, 8 July 2014
Canon Emirates, a subsidiary of Canon Middle East has signed long-term Managed Print Service (MPS) agreements with luxury resorts Yas Viceroy, Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa and the Movenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers, further cementing its position as the leading provider of MPS solutions in the UAE. The deal now entitles Canon Emirates to ensure the complete management and maintenance of the print infrastructure for each of these hotels.
Shadi Bakhour, General Manager, Canon Emirates, said: " Canon 's Managed Print Services (MPS) proactively ensures that an organisation's printer fleet is managed the way it is to be - profitably and efficiently. It also enables organisations to achieve significant cost savings and improvements in workforce productivity through expert print and information management consultancy. The strong uptake of Canon 's MPS offering among three of the leading hospitality chains in the UAE is further testament to our leadership in this field."
Known for its award-winning, unique design, Yas Viceroy Hotel signed a five-year deal with Canon Emirates to manage its entire print solutions portfolio. The hotel has already achieved strong results including an average of 25% monthly cost saving benefits in their over-all print related expenditure, in addition to increased service quality and efficiency of print fleet management.
"Yas Viceroy Hotel was happy with its previous print infrastructure, however after reviewing our customized MPS solution to the hotel offering high-end, easy to manage and monitor printing fleet, greater security and a dedicated team for after-sales support , the hotel was persuaded to sign the deal with Canon Emirates", added Bakhour.
Having opened in September 2013, Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa, is a new property for the Minor Hotel Group. The new resort required a highly cost effective and innovative print solution that can increase the efficiency of their printing fleet and also introduce superior facilities for guests including high quality guest printing, mobile printing and web-based Google cloud prints.
Bakhour commented; "Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa also signed an agreement with Canon Emirates as its preferred Managed Print Services partner to provide a wide range of products including multi-functional printers, laser printers and fax machines whilst offering a high level of service support through on-site engineers."
The newly open MÖvenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers, has a preferred MPS partner which is used across all MÖvenpick Hotels & Resorts globally. However, after reviewing the MPS credentials for Canon Emirates, MÖvenpick decided to opt for Canon as their partner of choice. The company needed a cost-effective solution that is also able to deliver long print runs.
"After presenting a cost saving, high-end tailored solution to optimize the consumption at a competitive price, MÖvenpick hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers, signed the contract. Our solution will help the hotel reduce the operational IT cost by approximately 25% and help improve efficiency and employee productivity. With our services, The MÖvenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers can capitalise on Canon 's years of research and development in digital colour imaging and document reproduction to ensure that great value as well as efficiency is being delivered," concluded Bakhour.
