TOKYO -- As Japan's blue chips digest the implications of the March 11 disasters for supply chains concentrated in the country, Canon's CFO said that while his company won't shift its own key factories abroad, it is actively talking to suppliers about having them review their production locations, while seeking additional suppliers to ensure it doesn't get stung again.
